Stepping up

Juggling between work & family is not an easy task, especially when you work 100km away from your family.

It is a tougher task when you have an impossible brother with uber low self esteem.

..and juggling becomes impossible when one of us tends to wreck him down instead of motivate.

When failure isn’t an option, you choose not to fail your family instead of your work.

Don’t talk to me about work now.

I need put my family above myself. Yes! It’s a need, not a want.

Nobody says life’s easy.

During my studies at UniMAP, most of the time we were learning about IC design. Almost every semester, we would dedicate ourselves on weekly basis, to go to IC Design Lab at Wisma KWSP Kangar.

During lab session, at times, or maybe most of the time, we would be unattended. The lecturer would stay inside lecturers’ room. Therefore each time we got any problem we need to go inside the room and ask. But need us to bear in our limited mind, asking the lecturer was only our last resort.

When I entered the room, I remember there was a piece of paper stuck on the wall.. it may seem sarcastic but..it is ultimately true.

At my work place now, people seem to walk faster than Daddy-Long-Leg does. I don’t know what they are after, that they cannot seem to mind their step. People here work like robots.

As for me, I will make sure I won't work exceeds 2 hours, or I will regret!

Ok, second day at the not-so-new place. Yes newly rented house my housemate and I have. Wahhh…mind you, my housemate is beautiful. I never thought she would be this beautiful. Or I shoul’ve said, I never thought she would be this petite!

Aku ni dari dulu sampai la dok rasa rendah diri bukan sebab aku pendek (even mmg aku pendek), tp sebab aku asyik kawan dgn orang cantik2, slim2 macam ratu kebaya wilayah utara.

By the time sampai kat rumah baru tu, mak ayah housemate saya pon ada, punya la ramah, aku plak yang naik segan. Selama ni mulut aku yang macam bertih jagung aka pop corn. Kali ni gua memang kalah. Jarang benor gua kalah beb!

By the time tgk mak dia, terlintas di kepala otang gua yang x brapa nk centre ni, patut la dia cantik, mak dia segak. Wooo! Patut la idung mancung, macam bapak dia.

Dah la, cerita pasai housemate bokpa? Ni ceq nak habaq mai, hari ni ceq masuk kerja. Tudia ceq mai kerja dgn x bawak salinan sijil yang depa mintak.

Semalam dok isi2 borang baru perasan dia nk bank CIMB. Padan muka aku, seminggu dok rumah bergolek-golek sahaja dengan jayanya, sambil bajet kenai benor aku dengan company aku nak masuk ni.

Sekali nah hang..dulu masa aku masuk sini, depa bank-in gaji guna maybank, ni awat dok tak dok guna CIMB. Kalut aku.. weekend beb, mana ada bank buka, along ada la. Klu bukak akaun dengan along agak-agak bulih dak?

Ok la, to cut the long story short, HR tu ka ok la bab sijil tu sbb time interview dulu dah bagi. Bab akaun bank tu, dia kata boleh pakai rekod lama. Gua lega macam nak buat kenduri u’ols.

Supposed rumah sewa tu nak dok 3 orang, so far cuma ada saya dan housemate saya tu. Kami berdua bajet-bajet kalau ada new hire yang masuk sekali saya boleh la ajak dok sekali. Sekali calon yang ada pon lain jantinanya..how??

+ boss saya tanya, knapa pilih masuk on 8811? it is a very auspicious date. haaa..itu lah rahsia kejayaan hahaha!
